I imagine if you’re reading this then you aren’t playing Modern Warfare 2. And if you aren’t playing Modern Warfare 2 you must not own it, because if you did you would be playing it. And if you don’t own Modern Warfare 2 you must not know Modern Warfare 2 is out. Well it is. Modern Warfare 2.
All personal infatuations aside, Modern Warfare 2 is probably this winter’s biggest release and is definitely worth taking a look at- if for no other reason than to see what all the hubbub is about. If you like shooters you should buy it. If you don’t like shooters you should go out of your way to try it. Yes, it’s got that much to offer.
There are guns in this game.
If you’re really into story or presentation in videogames you should have someone set you up in the airport level of the Campaign, if that part has a large impact on you, it might be worth struggling through the shooting sections. If you’re one of those weirdies who just likes to appreciate well-made worlds, hop into the opening boot camp, if you’re as impressed as I was it might be worth cranking it to easy mode. If you’re interested in how a game can basically take a white-board of “crazy sequel ideas!” that most developers scrap and put it in their game without making it Beautiful Katamari, maybe you should drop the 60 and pick up a copy; I mean, they blow up a castle in this game…YOU GO TO SPACE. If you’re a videogame enthusiast, chances are this game has something to offer-but if you’re still not convinced, a good idea might be to get a friend who’s familiar with the game and with what you like in games to showcase the game’s best example of your interests to you.
Oh and if you get it, make sure you’ve got a few hours set aside, because the single player’s amazing. Oh and make sure you’ve got Live, because the multiplayer’s amazing. OH and make sure you’ve got a friend around, because the co-op spec-ops mode is AMAZING.
